Accelerating the success of Black entrepreneurs requires reimagining support programs

Systemic obstacles have made it difficult for Black entrepreneurs to obtain financing and launch enterprises. The most significant issue and the one most likely to keep entrepreneurs up at night was access to capital, according to findings from a poll last year that examined the difficulties faced by Black entrepreneurs in Canada. Unfortunately, Smooth Meal Prep in Halifax is one of the companies that was forced to shut down.
