Marketing agency founder and entrepreneur Mark Harrison to receive prestigious ACA gold-medal award

The Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) has chosen Mark Harrison as the recipient of its 2022 Gold Medal award in honour of his career-long commitment to working with purpose and his commercial success.

Harrison has exhibited leadership in marketing and a strong sense of entrepreneurship for over three decades. He founded the marketing firm T1 and the MH3 Collective, a collection of businesses that engage in everything from sponsored marketing and advertising to integrated communications and education.

In 2020, Harrison founded the Black Talent Initiative, an advocacy group devoted to advancing change for young Black Canadians in business and advertising. He is also a founding member of Park Street Education. This non-profit institution uses hybrid, experience-based learning to break down barriers and make education available to all kids.

“I am grateful for the recognition and am very proud of the purposeful impact our teams and our work have had in the marketing landscape,” Harrison said in a statement. “I recognize every day that with being a Black entrepreneur comes the responsibility to keep making meaningful changes in our society, and this recognition from the ACA helps me to keep going on this journey.”

Additionally, he is the board chair at Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto, co-chair of the Black, Biracial, Indigenous Task force for Ontario University Athletics, and a board member at CAMH Foundation.

He will receive the ACA gold-medal award on Sept. 29, during presentations at the Strategy Awards in Toronto.
