Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole has announced the plant-based restaurant chain will open its 13th location on Spelman College’s campus this fall.

In a recent Instagram post, Cole announced the new location, celebrating the chain’s five-year anniversary. Slutty Vegan has other locations in Georgia, New York, Alabama, and Texas.

“Hey, y’all. It’s me again, Pinky Cole Hayes. And you know, we just had our five-year anniversary,” Cole said in the Instagram reel. “So right now, I’m on Spelman College’s campus, and it’s move-in day. And guess who else is moving in?” she said in an Instagram post.

Like all the eateries and dining halls in the Atlanta University Center, the vegan cafe will be open to students from neighbouring colleges.

Founded in 2018, Cole started the restaurant chain selling burgers on Instagram from her two-bedroom apartment. Since then, Slutty Vegan has been growing steadily, with unprecedented success in its short tenure, including receiving a $100 million valuation after raising a $25 million Series A funding round in 2022, according to AfroTech.

In addition to her Slutty Vegan empire, Cole owns Bar Vegan, a trendy and upscale restaurant in Atlanta’s Ponce City Market.
