A $2.4 million pre-seed round led by Heron Rock has been closed, according to Guava, a networking and banking platform for Black entrepreneurs. The organization, which Kelly Ifill founded last year, offers financial services to Black small businesses and artists in an effort to close the racial wealth gap. The official launch of the digital banking platform, which is scheduled for early next year, would enable business owners to track growth, transfer money, check spending, and interact with other business owners seeking to scale their operations.
