A new social media app that gives users and entrepreneurs a platform to build curated online communities is changing the game.

“Our app allows you to build your community — your way. It isn't about the quantity of followers, it's about the quality of engagement,” John York, co-founder of Frequency People, said in a statement.

The app has live video, chat and audio features and an interactive engagement feed for users not connected to your profile.

Moreover, it offers free access and paid options for entrepreneurs to create a public or private community and monetize through exclusive and non-exclusive content. Furthermore, users will have access to data and analytics.

"We wanted to create a space where users could thrive within their communities and offer a place for authentic engagement built-in with enterprise solutions," John McAdroy, co-founder of Frequency People, said in a statement.

At a time when many social media platforms are inundated with bots and fake profiles, Frequency People hopes to bring an authenticity that’s not present in the market.

“We've been doing social media the same way for way too long. It's time that users get access to more control over the content they create, the conversations they have and the communities they want to build,” York said in a statement.
