CEO Ashlee Wisdom has successfully raised more than $4 million for her company, Health In Her HUE, a Black-owned digital health platform that connects Black women to practitioners.

Health In Her HUE, the pioneering digital health platform, has secured $3 million in a recent seed funding round.

The funding, led by Seae Ventures, saw participation from key players like Johnson & Johnson Impact Ventures, Morgan Stanley Inclusive Ventures Lab, Genius Guild, HBCU Founders Fund, Stanford Impact Fund, and a select group of angel investors.

Founded in 2018 by CEO Ashlee Wisdom, the company aims to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities by connecting Black women and women of colour with culturally sensitive and responsive healthcare providers. With over a decade of experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry, Wisdom has steered the company towards creating a safe space for women to prioritize their holistic health and well-being.

"I'm proud of the impact Health In Her HUE has achieved thus far to ensure Black women and women of colour have a safe space to prioritize their holistic health and well-being," Wisdom said.

The platform boasts nearly 13,000 members and offers solutions to support women on their healthcare journey.

Likewise, it has an extensive collection of educational health content, including long and short-form videos, articles, and live on-demand virtual events, which aims to keep women informed and aware of their healthcare journey.

Lastly, it offers forums where women can engage and learn from each other on various health topics. The Care Squad Program, a physician-designed curriculum and peer support group, covers fibroids, fertility, mental health, and more.

"Her focus on this vision and ability to create a community, a team, and a platform to make this vision a reality is what keeps us excited about Health In Her HUE and Ashlee's leadership," said Arianne Kidder, a partner at Seae Ventures.

This recent funding round marks Health In Her HUE's second successful fundraising effort. In 2021, the company initially raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed round to develop the platform. The company has raised $4.2 million to date, a statement reads.
