Uncle Funky’s Daughter, a Black-owned hair care brand based in Houston, has announced its launch in more than 2,100 Sally Beauty stores.

Sally Beauty will onboard the brand’s Moisture Boost Travel Kit, a four-piece hair care bundle curated to fight against dry and damaged hair.

“We are thrilled to partner with Sally Beauty and bring Uncle Funky’s Daughter to 2,100 Sally Beauty stores across the nation,” Renee Rhoten Morris, Uncle Funky’s Daughter's chief curl officer, said in a statement. “Sally Beauty is renowned for its commitment to empowering beauty enthusiasts with top-quality products. We believe the Moisture Boost Travel Kit and our products will resonate with Sally Beauty’s customer base and provide our Funky Junkies with a new place to find their favourite products.”

The kit includes selling Curly Magic, Supercurl, Heal & Renew, and Thirsty Curls products. Sally Beauty will also sell three other SKUs from the brand.

The news follows expansion earlier this year at Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Roundy’s stores in 2023. They also announced a NIL partnership with Stanford University senior guard Haley Jones.
