Black-owned hair care brand Uncle Funky’s Daughter has announced it is expanding at Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Roundy’s stores in 2023.

One of its top-selling products, Supercurl Miracle Moisture Crème, will launch in 500 Target stores, available on its website and app. Meanwhile, Curly Magic, a curl stimulator, has been reordered and will be available in all Target stores across the U.S.

"I am excited to continue to partner with national and regional retailers who believe in our brand and growth strategy. These moves enable our Funky Junkies to have increased access to the products they love. We are blessed to have Funky Junkies who have trusted us with their hair care needs," Renee Rhoten Morris, chief curl officer of Uncle Funky's Daughter, said in a statement.

At Walgreens, the brand’s award-winning 3-in-1 Shine Booster will now be available at 900 stores, increasing its product offerings to five on select shelves and online. Curly Magic is available at all 4,500 Walgreens stores, a statement reads.

CVS will welcome the launch of Uncle Funky's Daughter's Split End Serum in 200 stores across the U.S. The launch will mean five SKUs in the pharmacy chain, including Curly Magic, which is available at CVS’ 7,260 stores.

Lastly, Roundy's, a Milwaukee-based supermarket chain, has announced the retailer will stock Curly Magic and the Ultimate Travel Kit.

The news comes just a month after Uncle Funky’s Daughter announced a NIL partnership with Stanford senior guard Haley Jones.

The new brand ambassador and 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball champion joined Uncle Funky’s Daughter “to inspire the next generation, and help them work through problems and give them a role model that I didn't have,” she said in a statement.
