James Baker and Ashley Sharma, the founders of Cincha, a Black and Latinx woman-owned travel belt company, appeared on a recent episode of “Shark Tank” and struck a deal with shark Barbara Corcoran.

The couple walked away with $200,000 for 25 per cent of the company.

“We're over the moon and thrilled to welcome THE legendary @barbaracorcoran to The Cincha Crew! Thank you for your love and support, Barb. Now, let’s go SECURE THE BAGS!!” the company said in an Instagram post.

The travel belt company provides a solution to the difficulty of air travel with suitcases and carry-ons. The brand specializes in straps that attach to your bag, sparing the user from back pain and clumsy accidents.

Cincha travel belts are adjustable up to 45 inches, so the product is secured to totes, backpacks, diaper bags, purses, and more. The company also has a line of accessories, most of which are available in over 19 colours.

Moreover, it has been working with the non-profit, Miles4Migrants, to donate 100 frequent flyer miles with every purchase of their travel belt to help reconnect migrant families. The company also donates food to local food banks.

The item is available on Amazon for the same price; it starts at $35.99.
