A former lawyer turned real estate investor is building the first Black-owned golf resort in the Dominican Republic.

Diana Lynch, the founder of Lynch Land Holdings, LLC, says the property will include amenities such as a signature golf course, professional sports training, rehabilitation, and a medical campus, according to Travel Noire.

“The launch of this historic project represents a significant milestone in Black History. It invites all to participate in shaping the future of one of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean,” Lynch told Travel Noire.

Located on the northern shores of the Dominican Republic, just above Samaná Bay, Lynch’s team is planning to develop over 3,000 acres of prime commercial and residential property, which will feature over 1,400 luxurious villas and condominiums.

Daedalus Design London's (DDL) design team leads the project and recently completed a project in Fiji. The company has more than 40 completed projects in its portfolio, including resort hotels, golf courses, residential properties, and leisure developments across three continents.

Lynch said the company plans to leverage a strong economy and capitalize on tax incentives and dual citizenship opportunities, making it an appealing destination for investors.

The property has a historical reference to the Black community. "It was once home to freed American slaves who settled in the area after being emancipated in the 1800s,” a statement reads.
